What is it about Asian food that compels you to keep eating? I suspect it has a lot to do with the saltiness and the sweetness that is in most Asian dishes.
Recently I made Orange and Soy Glazed Chicken Thighs for the first time, and they turned out perfectly. I love it when that happens! Sometimes I try a new recipe and it doesn’t work out (that’s always a bummer).
So, if you have a hankering for P.F. Chang’s this weekend, but can’t indulge for one reason or another, try making the Orange and Soy Glazed Chicken Thighs. They were so good that my kids didn’t complain about the shiitake mushrooms or scallions which were part of the dish. In fact, there was no complaining. There was only silence, murmurs of “delicious,” “awesome,” and “wow.”
Just thinking about the taste of that dish makes me want to try a twist on it this weekend. I’ll post about the results next week. What are some of your favorite, lip-smacking dishes that you’ve had in a restaurant, and would like to replicate at home? Your answers are ideas for me to rustle up recipe solutions in the kitchen.
So, think about it. What dishes would you like to be able to cook up with ease in your kitchen?

Drooooooool. I do, in fact, have a hankering for PF Chang’s this weekend. Sounds like this should fix THAT wagon.
@Brian,
LOL! Right on…we actually were almost drooling a bit while getting everything on the table. The chicken thighs were on a platter on the kitchen table, and everyone was verrrry helpful getting the table set and the accompanying sides on…as you can imagine!

In all my years, I avoided chicken thighs because they were not as lean as chicken breasts. This recipe is awesome because it show how great chicken thighs can be. Crispy skin… tender and juicy chicken…mouthwatering flavor. Awww. Yeahh.
This looks great! I’ve used almost all of your recipes and they are great. After cooking for SO many years, my “creativity” button has broken. I’m SO glad I found someone who can help revive my cooking (and keep my family fed-LOL).

Thank goodness for bloggers like you! Now I have something to make my hubby for dinner one day this week. I have no culinary creativity and it’s so hard to cook let alone plan meals for the two of us – this makes it a lot easier!
Looks delicious!
@Ali,
The only thing I’d do differently is broil the chicken for the last 5 minutes to get it browner, and the skin really crispy. Enjoy–the sauce on this chicken is outstanding!
